YB Rantau Panjang - What a......????

Yesterday, just day 2 of Ramadhan. Siti Zailah Mohd Yusof, Pas Rantau Panjang YB was a hot topic. She said that a women/girls can prevent sexual crimes by not wearing short and skimpy dresses. Today when I read NST, Leslie Andres writing not-the-attire-that-s-to-be-blamed was an apt way to answer her. If she read NST that is.

What more, a commenter from Annie blog also put it straight

So many commentators put their sympathy with the offender or treat it as a joke.
Who knows what tempts these deviants to rape and molest - shorts, a smiling face, a woman alone or even a child? Do people like Canny Ong deserve less sympathy for what they wore than Noor Mukhtar, strangled with her own tudung? How about kids like Nurul and Nurin - maybe they "tempted" their attackers too? The fault lies 100% with the attacker.
Does PAS really think that places practicing sharia law are a paradise for women? Often the victim gets punished as much as the offender, so crimes remain unreported, or some laws that protect women don't even exist, like domestic violence laws, so no "crime" is recorded. People like Siti don't deserve to be elected and I hope that voters (especially women) in Rantau Panjang kick her out as soon as possible.

Yes, dear readers, I hate it when people blame the victim when a rape case happen. It shameful. It like the victim was nothing to them. Why blame them when the victim was suffered tremendously.

But when this thing happen to their immediate family, they are the one who terloncat-loncat macam katak.  A lot of time, the predator come from their own circle. Some try to hide it because it a shame to be known that their best friends or old family friend involved.

When government try to introduce more bill to protect the women/girls they are the one who giving the loudest protest that make me wonder, are they the one who will be effected.  Some give a reason to protect the man from a vicious women (Yes, it a reason given not a few years ago - Duh).

And it a shame when a women like Zailah, A YB, talking like this and what more, in Parliament. Geezz, are you soooo out of this world, that you are not aware why rape case happen?

A friend, a policewomen inform me once that a rape happen when people who have the tendency to broke the law saw an opportunities to do it. Not how or what or when you wear anythings. If opportunities arise, but the tendency was not there, it won't happen. But if tendency was there, this people will make it happen even if you were in the safe deposit box inside the maximum securities area.

So if you out there think that people can prevent rape by simply change your attire, think again. Like Leslie Andres put it, "if honourable MB want to know how dressing can prevent rape, then there is possibly only one kind can ward off sexual predators - a suit of armour".

ON THE SAME NOTE :

By the way, some simply ask people to cover up because their husband love to look at sexy women. So they think the mistake was with this sexy women. Grow up lah.

If your husband love to look at those sexy women, buy that attire and wear it inside your house. He love looking women wearing make-up, learn how to use make-up expertly and wear it. Make sure he look at you and not those women. Buy those sexy lingerie's and expensive perfume if you must and wear it. Used whatever technologies available (halal) to achieved your goal. If he still not looking at you after what you have done, he not worthy of you (sorry man, it the sad truth).

We women can be sexy and beautiful for our husband. So do it. Don't just stand there and blame other people. Some say, I'm not sexy or beautiful. Bull. Let me share with your a women secret. A wife may not be beautiful, but she can be sexy as hell for her husband. So, up to you how much and where....okay.
