How Proton Can Survive

How Proton can survive

Before I'm explaining what's in my mind, let's start with a posting by Mr Rocky Bru : http://www.rockybru.com.my/2014/03/what-proton-really-needs.html .

After that please read from the  J-Star : http://www.thestar.com.my/Business/Business-News/2014/03/05/Up-to-RM3bil-needed-to-develop-new-models-including-electric-car/ .

Now what do you think?

Me, who can assure you have heard a lots about Proton from the beginning until now, can tell you that a lot of times Proton have a management issues.

I first heard about the issues in Proton when a friends who doing a  Technical Training informed me. And that was around 1992.

And by 2014, I still hears about Proton facing a problem.

First of all, it is an open secret that a lots of Proton executives was a supporter of one political party.  And this political Party always complaining about Proton. I'm not surprising if some of the information that this party get, come from this peoples.

It also an open secret that Proton workers has an attitudes problems.

I also can tell you that because of their attitudes, it effected the productivity's and qualities.

You can gives Proton a lots of plan to resurrected it glorious day, it will fail if the attitudes of the worker and top management remain the sames.

A lot of peoples complaining about the government staffs loitering around during the working hours.

Well let's me tell you this, before DRB takes over, Proton staff can be seen loitering around taking the tea break or having a lunch outsides  more than two or three hours.

They have their favourite spot and those who working in Hicom Industrial area Shah Alam know about this.

And peoples, before you say anything, let me remind you that you cannot mistaken Proton workers with others. They have a uniforms and they usually wore it even when they loitering around.

I heard, some can slot in and then went out for personal biz and then come back in during the end of shift to slot out. If this has happen a lot of times, why don't the top management take some action on this peoples?

Yes, Proton have a problem. And my takes is it started from the Top to The Bottom. Unless you change the management, it doesn't matter how much plan you wanted to applied to Proton, the success rated will be reducing day by days.

It is the Proton peoples who responsible to change proton and if they don't want to change their attitudes, how do you supposed to change the company fate.

Now Back to Datuk Luqman resignations for the second times? This is the rumours I heard about him and concurs to J-Star report, Datuk Luqman was a tough leader.  He's a performers who will do anythings to achieved the result.

Previously before been pulled by DRB to become a COO, he was the CEO of PHN Industries. His track record over there was impressive and yet why servicing with Proton he throw out his towel?

The way I see it combining with a few fact  I know about Proton, there must be somethings wrong with Proton.

He's a tough leader during his reign in PHN but he has giving the best result for PHN. He was well respected by his peoples unless you counted some who really don't like to be push around because of their failure to do their jobs.

I've a friends in PHN and the stories I heard about Datuk Luqman was not unfamiliar to me. I work with the tough boss before and a lot's of times this boss usually the one who was motivated to achieved more.

During his PHN days, he was tough but not irresponsible. He know financial and he know the process. He was a good leaders who know the strength of his peoples.

He just don't have a patient for someone who's always find a reasons to blames someones else for their mistakes.

With the track records of Proton, I'm not surprising if the reasons why Datuk Luqman resign is because Proton Management refused to follow his plans and trying to find a way to put the blame if anythings fails on him.

With their track record of refusing to changes for the better, how do you supposed anyone can worked better with them.

Unless of course, the one who replace DAtuk Luqman, simply follow the flow of ignoring everything that happen and let Proton died of it natural death.

By the way, from the stories I hear about PHN, after Datuk Luqman left, it's not getting better. The one who replaced him have the Mantle and mind like those in Proton. I guess, being the supplier of proton, effected the mind of top management in PHN too.

So, there goes what I deem the best persons who can solves the Proton Financial woos. With his background, he can offer more, but let's me remind you that before PHN, Datuk Luqman was a Proton staff.

He was sidelines more than once before going out and working with PHN. With that history behind him, how do yo supposed people who sidelines him once upon a times in Proton accepted the hard truth that their sideline becoming the boss? True of false, I don't know but makes you wonder right?

So on the questions on how Protons can survive, my takes are first, change the mindset of Proton Workers from top to bottom.

Second, weed out those who can becomes a virus and that means who playing the office and political politic abusively and if Proton don't have the heart to sack them, put them in the department where they cannot mingle with others.

My suggestions, created a Proton Museum and put them over there hehhehheh.

Third change the management in Proton to be more business minded. The one who went for a training must be someone who really need the training not those who wanted to go for a training.

Put someone who thinking how to improved and propel Proton to a higher status. Someone who hungry enough to change Proton to be better and better.

That is my solutions to Proton.
