I think, now is the right time to write about SK Pristina. Yup, the school who getting a lot of attention right now.
I read and read and read, I search and search and search, but what I found out is, all the opinions comes from us adults. What more, some come from, claim to be a parents who's child's not attending that school.
Sorry guys, but if you not coming from that school, don't you think you need to do a researches about that school first? First and foremost, do all of you have any ideas, how big this school is? No. isn't it. It is a small school. From my reaserches, that all classes was in full capacity which translated to a lot of student that the school capable of provided. That for me explaining the canteen situation.
Then, come the discussion of the reasons why? HM state that it is due to construction. I know, he supposed to say minor construction but, well he said that and trust a lot of people will over analysed it. So, they spin around the fact to blame him.
But, if you really think for a second, you will realised that, how dangerous the minor repair/construction (minor or major)/renovation/installing areas for those kids. All this involving power cables, nails, wood, plank, glass, tools and a lot of other materials which exposing to the kids will be dangerous. Furthermore, whatever you try to proves, if you doing all those above activities, you cannot prevent the dust. Specifically, the HM state windows, so I assume glass.
Look when you doing a renovation in you house man. If you doing construction which a lot of people call it renovation, some opt to rent another house temporary to avoid dust. Even if you installing new kitchen cabinet, there a lot of dust and dangerous material around. It not dangerous to our kids but to us too.
So, what do I think really happen to SK Pristina? The issue has blown out of proportion. The issue of school small area get swallow up in this circus. The HM try to do his best but it not good enough.
He look at his student and don't want them to eat beside the longkang or steps, so he try to give them a place more comfortable for them to eat. I trust, his student appreciated it.
But we adult, simply want the best for our kids. Some will go to far as insisting others to follow their rules, to make sure their kids will always getting the best. That also means, what everyone been doing was not good enough.
Do the toilet door in front of the shower room? No. One of the picture, show that the children using the toilet beside the makeshift canteen to take wuduk. That means, those toilet was the cleanest one because not all toilet can be used as a wuduk place.
But the cleanest one in the school doesn't means the sweet smelling one guys. With 1000++ student, some will bend to be irresponsible ok. You have to remember, this is kids between 7 to 12 years olds. If you have your own primary scholar, ask about their school toilet and see.
But, it a taboo when people said toilet and as always we Malaysian tend to think everything involving taking a bath means toilet too. So everyone getting upset and things blow up, major. Now HM and the mother who posting the status got a death threat.
Now, who winning in this issue. Not the school, the student, the parent or the teacher. Everyone lose........Kalah jadi abu menang jadi arang.....
I have commented on this story as well.
